Biomass to Fuel & Energy | Louisiana, USA – RFU

The company is building a proven high technology zero emission biomass to energy plant in Western Central Louisiana, USA. The operation will convert 800,000 tons of pine pulpwood into an annual production of 68 million gallons of renewable ultra-low sulfur (Effectively zero sulfur) diesel, activated carbon, and fertilizer, and is located in the middle of one of the largest stands of pulpwood available in the US, ensuring a virtual endless supply of feedstock. The company has in place off take agreements with a large petroleum refining group. Logistically the site is adjacent to the Port of Natchitoches, Louisiana and has truck, rail, and barge access and substantial existing unused railyard capacity for the project to access, simplifying outbound shipment of product. This shovel ready project requires $530 million USD CAPEX with projected gross annual revenue of $257 million with an EBITDA of $188 million USD in the first full year of production. The conservative forecast shows that the project could be debt free in seven years. LOI’s for feedstock are in place, and 250 jobs will be filled by local skilled workers.

Diamond Mine | Botswana – GDM

The diamond mine lies within a game park in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve in Botswana, Southern Africa which is a semi-desert area that is a habitation for the San (Basarwa) community and abundant wildlife and other native species. The mine comprises two kimberlite pipes, G025 and GO136. Previous studies and current feasibility studies on the mineral reserves and resource value have indicated a 25 years Life Of Mine with an estimated seventeen million carats and a resource value of 4 Billion United States Dollars, including the in-ground mine assets. Diamond quality is Type IIa and Type IIb, consisting of fancy, gem, pink, blue, and other fancy-colored stones. The government issued a mining license from 2011 up to 2036 with an option to renew. The current mining method is underground operations equipped with a 60tph processing plant. The diamond mine has an on-site clinic and an airstrip to transport the consignment and any other emergencies arising from the mine. The on-site solar infrastructure reduces the carbon footprint and diesel costs as the mine is not connected to the power grid. Sales and marketing structures are in place within the country’s diamond hub facility.
